Standard F connectors are commonly used in the set top box, CATV and cable modem markets where low cost is a factor and frequencies are less than 1 GHz. They are available in plugs and jacks as cable ends, PCB mounts, panel mounts and in-series adaptors.
Modifications have been made to PCB mounts so that dielectrics can withstand higher temp solders required by RoHS.
